Pataskala, Ohio (XX July 2019) – Coming off of two back-to-back weekends of IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship action, the No. 57 Caterpillar Acura NSX GT3 of Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank Racing returns to competition this weekend at Lime Rock Park (NBCSN App 3:00 pm ET).
Katherine Legge will again team up with Christina Nielsen at the short 1.5-mile circuit in Connecticut. The pair have a strong record to lean on with Nielsen scoring the GTD pole in 2018 along with a podium finish in 2015. Legge’s career at Lime Rock Park extends back to the American Le Mans Series with a best finish of third in 2013.
Nielsen and Legge have formed a strong partnership for Heinricher Racing through the first five IMSA WeatherTech events of the season. Their best finish this year was at Watkins Glen International where Legge, Nielsen and Bia Figueiredo scored a fourth-place finish after six hours of endurance racing.
The Northeast Grand Prix will go green on Saturday, July 20th. Coverage of the race can be viewed on the NBCSN App from 3-6pm ET.
Team Quotes:
Jackie Heinricher:
“I’m excited to have the duo of Katherine and Christina take the wheel of the Heinricher Racing No. 57 Caterpillar Acura,” said team principal Jackie Heinricher. “We are going into Lime Rock with a lot of momentum and are right there in the top competing for our first podium.”
Katherine Legge:
“I’m looking forward to Lime Rock. It’s always one of the scrappiest races of the year. We had a great car there last year and I’m hoping we can take our Acura into battle and redeem ourselves after CTMP. We finished fourth there last year so I’m hoping we can get on the podium this weekend.”
Christina Nielsen:
“I’m excited to get back in the car for Heinricher Racing at Lime Rock. The track is the shortest one that we go to but I quite enjoy it. Our goal as always will be to earn as many championship points for the team as possible. I think we will have a strong weekend there and I’m excited to be back.”
